Hello, I found your website site , but as I do not speak german I hesitated to post a message in your forum ( might press the wrong button

. I am trying to find out when the Onkyo DX 3800 CD player was sold, thus how old it is - and any other information I can find about it. I have searched via Google, but so far no luck. I've looked the Onkyo catalogues you have mad available online, but did not find it there either. Can you help? Thank you in advance! All the best Bj?rn Simonsen Bergen, Norway

Hello,

thank you for your E-Mail, I my catalogs and folders checked up however unfortunately the model DX-3800 did not find. The DX-3200 I have in a test report of August 1986. I however in the next to meet a catalog of 1986/87 and 1987/88 gotten there am surely the dx-3800 in it and then can I you further information give.

the DX-3800 is equivalent to the german model DX-6750 and was sold in around 1990. price was around 1200 to 1500 DM (600 to 750 ?)

I have a DX-3800 and realised that DX- 6800 was absolute the same equipment on German market. By the way Bergen, my late old man use to be a number one salesman on Jorgen S. Lie cash register company way back in the 1950´s to early 1960´s ! Headoffice was on a Bergen Norway, and it was a big company then - before Japan hit the market.
